A Poem by Tanya Bhatia.

A mother I am
With a broken heart
And 9 children
Whom I’ve never met

The first was taken
And then the second one
By a person who fed me
Who I thought was my friend

Then the third went too
As they sucked and sucked
Everything inside
All rightfully mine

I’m a Godess they say
A sacred being they say
Not to be killed they say
But butchered anyway

Not with knives
Not here at least
Just with actions
And cruelty

As they take the fourth
And rip the fifth one away
I stare silently
Just screaming inside

Sixth and seventh and eighth
My life is slowly ending
As they are taken away

Freedom is nearby
I’ve nothing more left to give
One last child
For them to use

I’m old now
And kicked out for it
Dry and brittle
And free at Last!

A being I am
Of a broken soul
With empty eyes
And hopeless goals

Wandering around
Eating whatever I can find
One day I’ll choke
And be out of your mind

I’m your Mother Cow.

Uncertainity by Tanya Bhatia.

Rising in me like a terrible wave
It makes me question everything
Am I good enough?
Am I really loved?

And then it turns around
And makes me ask again and again
Why am I not good enough?

It rises and it rises!
A tsunami in my soul..
Uncertainty!

A turbulence that shakes me from within..
Uncertainty!

A darkness wrapped around my heart..
Uncertainty!

Uncertainty you are!
A heavy cloud upon my head
That lashes and growls
And I tremble with You

Uncertainty.

Beauty is simply overrated by Tanya Bhatia.

I don’t need to feel beautiful or be beautiful or whatever to be proud of myself. Beauty is overrated boys and girls. Just go with the old cliche and be beautiful from the inside. 😎

Warm Death by Tanya Bhatia.

Warm Death

Written by Tanya Bhatia.

And he clutched the body of his son to his chest.
And his tears were his son’s.
For they were fallen on his cheeks.

And he looked into the wide space sobbing a song,
Give him back, give him back!
Were the lyrics of his prayer.

Surrounded by death he craved it too!
A kiss on his child’s cold forehead.
He found warm arms in the end.

I’ll never walk away from Omelas by Tanya Bhatia.

About the story ‘Omelas’ by Ursula K. Le Guin.

Omelas is the story of a city called by the same name. It is a beautiful, fairy tale like place and everyone that lives there is very happy and content.

But this place has one ‘atrocity’ that people are told about when they grow up. It’s that their happiness comes at the price of one child kept inside a dark room, isolated and miserable.

So, some shrug off the pain of the child, content in their own happiness and others chose to walk away from Omelas and it’s horrors.

My poem is based on this story.

I’ll never walk away from Omelas.
Written by Tanya Bhatia.

There is a child they don’t talk about.
Hidden away somewhere called nowhere.
And I know what they do.

So, I fight and I shout!
I cry and I beg!
For them to become better!
For them to stop the pain!

But then I see the others walk away..
To a different world
Far from our cursed fairy land..
And they leave that child to it’s fate.

“Please don’t go.” I whisper to them.
But they leave Omelas anyway.

And slowly as I grow.
My voice becomes quieter.
But my heart grows harder,
Furious and Stronger.

And I will never walk away from Omelas.

I’ll burn it to the ground instead.
Their ashes to hell and dust as well!
And their ‘happiness’ will feel my pain and my rage!
As I free the little birdy from their cage!

So, I’ll never walk away from Omelas.
I’ll be sticking around to clean it up,
Destroying their atrocious happiness
And wiping the horrors away.

No, I’ll never walk away from Omelas.

Until the end of time,
I’ll never walk away.

And never will another take my place.
And never will another face my pain.
There will never be a child in Omelas again.

For I’ll never walk away from Omelas.
I’ll never walk away from Omelas.

Bring The Soul and Bring The Tears. A Review of BTS: The Movie by Tanya Bhatia.

As the elevator climbed up the floors, I looked at the people standing beside me and my sister and asked them, “Are you here for the BTS movie?” Of course they were! Somehow, we ARMYs just know.. Yes, that one right there, s/he’s one of us.

Also, the fact that it was the first show at 10 in the morning in a mostly deserted mall helped. Slowly, we started conversing and not two minutes later were fangirling over BTS. What’s new?

Anyway, we entered the theatre our excitement building. Me and my sister took our seats inside the hall and in the blink of an eye the seats were filled, the noise loud like only ARMYs can make. The fanchants started and so did the hi’s and hello’s with fellow ARMY friends.

And then began the movie. And my what a Movie it was! Totally different from the ‘Love Yourself In Seoul Tour’ and yet as amazing!

This movie had more “depth”, one could say. As in there was more of the members than the actual performances. We got to see our 7 stars in all of their happiness and sadness and their tired eyes behind their glowing smiles.

Amidst the chants of Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung, Jeon Jungkook, BTS; we saw the actual human aspect of being an idol, especially ones at BTS’s level.

Their tired plane rides and sleep deprived faces and their yearning for home made food all brought a tear to my face. Behind their message to ‘Love Yourself’ lay their Blood, Sweat and Tears which makes us wonder.. is it worth it?

Hearing Jungkook’s cries during his leg treatment was unbearable and Taehyung lose his voice, heartbreaking. Having to smile for a camera in front of you when you just want to cry must be so painful.

And yet they endure.

The movie ends with a hopeful message from BTS’s leader RM which finally results in the girls and the boys, the men and the women in the hall succumbing to their tears.

Even across the globe their love shines through and so does ours. The ARMYs file out of the hall after a fun after-credits scene that wiped away our tears and brought a smile to our face.

I give a big round of applause to BTS and Bighit for this heartouching movie and hope that they rest just a little bit more.

Saranghe!
